Who we are...

Picture
Every child is a creative genius! Mindbytes aims to help children bring out their creativity, improve their comprehension, communication skills and build confidence. Mindbytes offers a variety of wholesome skill development programs structured as workshops, after-school and
summer programs, for children of all ages.
Given the pervasive role technology plays in our lives, Mindbytes uses technology as the platform to deliver its programs. Mindbytes is an approved partner of various school districts, libraries and non-profit institutions to offer its programs as after-school programs, workshops and summer camps in NJ and NC.      
Mindbytes not only helps children utilize their skills to express themselves but also provides them an avenue to extend their work beyond the classroom.

Mindbytes is marching into 10th year and about 2700+ students have been in several innovative programs and workshops for children between the ages of 4 &above.

Our Teachers

Pavithra Lakshminarayan

An entrepreneur in the field of children’s education with over 23 years of work experience in Information Technology and Education, focusing on Learning Design, Content Creation, Training, Operations, Sales, Marketing & Project Management. She founded Mindbytes through which she creates and provide year-round programs that address core skills and deliver enrichment for children. of all ages. She has been an advisor for Education and Research based projects, including strategic planning, curriculum design, course development, training and integration for ed-tech startups, non-profit organizations and libraries. She is a part of the Leadership Team for the South Jersey STEM Innovation Partnership, goal to broaden participation of African-American, Hispanic, students in STEM programs and help build CTE programs that provide a K-16 continuum. She also chairs early childhood learning priority at the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network. She is on the board for New Jersey Association for Gifted Children and giving cycle.She is a recipient of the “Developing Minds Award” from New Jersey Association for Gifted Children, Apr 2016 & The Inspirational Achievement Award from Roshini Media Group, Nov 2018.
Mr. Sam Chilkotowsky 
​
He is a technology teacher with over ten years of project based learning and STEM content. He developed and implemented a high school Engineering program consisting of three consecutive levels, and students taking his courses can receive 100 level course credit at RCBC. He specializes in programming and robotics, and advisor for a First Tech Challenge team during the school year.

Kelly Trace

Kelly Trace has been a school library media specialist for over 20 years, 14 of them being in the Mount Laurel School District.  Working with children ages 4 to 10, she has encouraged not only the love of reading and excitement of choosing books, but the satisfaction of putting words to paper.

Ms. Erica Rakow

She currently teaches STEM programs at Lenape High School, Medford.

Alamelu Sundaram-Walters

Alamelu Sundaram-Walters is an ESL teacher at the Springville and Fleetwood school in Mount Laurel, NJ.  She has taught for 3 1/2 years for the NYC public schools grades K-5 and for 7 years she has worked and continues to work for Mount Laurel, NJ. She received her B.A  in Anthropology and Spanish from Drew University and her Masters degree in TESOL from Touro College in NYC. She is highly qualified in Reading and Language Arts. 
She is a lifelong learner when it comes to finding new and innovative ways to combine technology with instruction. She brings that love for the yearn to learn to her classroom, while creating a warm and nurturing environment for children to strive to be their best and never expect less.
