Mindbytes launched its ​Young Entrepreneurs Program in India in May 2021. This offers middle and high school children the opportunity to understand how a business works and create a business plan for an original product idea that they have. Some of Mindbytes’ Young Entrepreneurs have gone on to launch their own social enterprises over the last 8 years.

Please note:
1. Each class size will be limited to 10 children, first come first served.
2. Course will be 2 hours a day (9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., five days a week (Monday - Friday) for 3 weeks 
3. This will be an online session. Students will have to work with their computers  We understand your need for children to handle the computer with care and suggest that you create a separate child login. 
4. Please note that there will be a fee of Rs. 500 charged towards any cancellations.

About us

At Mindbytes, we don't simply aim to teach. We aim to help inspire and guide the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and artists! We believe that every young learner has the ability to blossom, and work to foster the growth of each individual student through our variety of skill development programs structured as workshops and enrichment sessions. Many of our programs leverage current technologies, thereby adequately preparing students for their future work in STEM, business, and the arts.

Our programs are generally designed for small groups, allowing us to provide students with the individual attention that they need in order to get the most out of out programs. We place great emphasis on building the foundation necessary for our students to be self-motivated, lifelong learners in the classroom and beyond. This ambition includes helping students to build confidence, improve their comprehension, communicate more effectively, and utilize their creativity.

Over the past 11years, Mindbytes has had the pleasure of working with students aged 4 and above through many innovative summer and after-school programs, courses, and workshops. Mindbytes has partnered with local school districts, universities, libraries, and nonprofit organizations located in New Jersey, North Carolina and India to deliver their programs.

Meet our TEAM

Lakshmi (Lakshminarayan Balasubramaniam) has over 25 years of experience in building teams and solving complex business problems for strong global brands. He is passionate to challenge children to learn beyond their age or grade levels so they can explore previously unknown paths. Even as Pavithra went through her journey with Mindbytes, he wondered how cool it would have been if he or Pavithra had been taught what it takes to be an entrepreneur early in their life. This encouraged them to create the Young Entrepreneurs Program to provide children a look-see into the basics of a business and a template for all the things to be considered if they were to choose the path of building an idea they had into a business. He has enjoyed teaching this class for the last 7 years and is excited to come back every year to see what new ideas children have. He is constantly challenging himself on how to make this class more relevant and fun.

Pavithra Lakshminarayan  is an all-round educator. She spent the first 15 years of her career in training, teaching, designing curriculums, building and running graduate programs for information technology. It is when her passion for children met with her experience, that her enterprise, "Mindbytes" was born. Over the last 11 years, she has not only built and delivered a variety of skill development programs for children of all ages (K-12), but has also played multiple roles in the education space. Her programs not only extend learning beyond the classroom but also beyond students through workshops for parents and teachers on how they can support the learning process. She has partnered with various school districts, higher-ed and community-based organizations to architect programs to improve the interest and retention of students in K-12 STEM programs, especially in underserved and under-represented communities. She leads projects for the South Jersey STEM Innovation Partnership (a STEM Ecosystem) and has launched large-scale initiatives for the NJ STEM Pathways Network. She believes each child is a genius and works only to see them learn and grow.
